Chives

Anticancer. Anti-inflammatory. Like garlic, leeks, and onions, chives are a member of the genus Allium and are rich in sulfur compounds. Research from the National Cancer Institute found that men who ate a just small amount (10 grams) of allium vegetables daily had a far lower risk of prostate cancer. In animal studies, French researchers similarly found that these sulfur compounds help lower the risk of colorectal and stomach cancer, and possibly other cancers, as well.
