Cranberries

Antibacterial. Anti-inflammatory. Cardiovascular health. Oral health. Most women are well aware of cranberry’s preventative and healing properties for urinary tract infections. Cranberries contain proanthocyanidins which prevent bacteria from attaching to the walls of the urinary track. These and other compounds in cranberries also decrease inflammation, notably in the mouth and gums. In addition, cranberries can inhibit the activity of enzymes related to the development of heart disease and stroke.
