Garlic
Antibacterial. Anti-inflammatory. Antimicrobial. Cardiovascular health. The potent smell of garlic has an equally potent effect on numerous body systems. As a member of the genus Allium, garlic contains several sulfur compounds, including allicin, that help prevent free radical damage to the linings of blood vessels. This limits inflammation, which may help prevent heart attacks and stroke. Garlic has also been shown to prevent certain yeast infections and a type of bacterial infection in burn patients.
