Mustard Seeds
Anticancer. Antimicrobial. Mustard seeds are produced by plants in the genus Brassica, which also includes nutritional superstars such as cabbage, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli, and like their cousins (yup Mustard is a cruciferous vegetable too – who knew?). They help combat cancer-causing enzymes. In vitro studies showed that mustard seeds caused human colon cancer cells to implode and greatly reduced the growth of new colon cancer cells. Mustard seeds also help destroy bacteria in other foods they come into contact with.
